BERMUDA ROGUE
SIMPLE INSTALLATION

  1. Remove protective packaging.
  2. Place Hang-on skimmer on the back of the tank.
  3. Using a reputable pump rated for 350 to 450 gallons per hour at 0 feet, plumb to skimmer using ¾" ID vinyl tubing.
  4. BEFORE TURNING ON THE PUMP, Turn gate valve clockwise to open, then turn on the pump.
  5. Adjust the water level in the skimmer by turning the dial counter clockwise.
  6. Set the water level just below the neck of the cup.
  7. A drain fitting has been included to accommodate the collection cup, and can be plumbed to a waste collection chamber of much large capacity.
  8. Typically the initial skimmate will appear wetter in consistency until the tank is established.
  9. Also, beware of additives to your tank, and water changes, the imbalance and inconsistency that is created by the change in water density will cause the skimmer to react by either reducing skimmate production momentarily, or by over skimming to remove the substance causing the imbalance.
  10. The skimmer could take between 5 minute and 72 hours to break in, depending on the conditions of your tank.
  11. And up to 2 weeks if your tank is new and un-established.
  12. Once the tank is established and the skimmer has been adjusted to accommodate your tank size and pump, the water level will no longer need to be adjusted.
  13. The only maintenance that will be required at that time, will be removing waste collected in the cup.
  14. Please refer to the owner’s manual for the pump instructions, installation and maintenance.
